worse than a newbiew in Linux

  1. Ok, I admit I know nothing about Linux, but I still using it (how else would I ever know?)

My Linux machine get its IP from my Linksys router (through DHCP).

However I have no idea where all the network configuration files are and how to find what IP the Linux received form the DHCP server.

    Any help will do

  2. A newbie here.
    man ifconfig
    man route

Try grep file in /etc and subdir depending on your linux vendors.

BTW, FYI: Shameless Microsoft/SCO "they" are destorying LINUX. Please let all newbies worse then newbies know.
