World's cheapest car goes on sale

  1. This is how the Japanese started out; with cheap, very basic, underpowered cars. At first, they couldn't even meet safety and other standards in the U.S., but adapted their cars to conform to U.S. standards.

    The first adopters of Japanese cars were laughed at, and many said there's no way the Japanese will succeed in the U.S.
