Followed the link, read a bit. Seems like he's come on hard times.

Also seems like he's kinda dating someone else besides Princess. Maybe she was high maintenance and when he could no longer afford to give her everything, she moved on? Who knows?

Also sounds a lot more humble

Turns out he was young and ignorant. He thought he was in heaven but he really was in hell.

Wannabe traders, take his story to heart.

Don't allow stubborn determination to blind your common sense.

WTF is wrong with him? He is willing to take an unpaid internship when he used to make 100K a year trading?

Most traders try to get away from the corporate hell hole. I used to work at UBS and even though it is the most humane bank to work for, I hate the BS corporate scam. Corporate job security is a myth, just ask all the ones laid off.

I agree with you 100% Mecro. The last bastion of corporate job security was IBM until they started forcing (instead of offering) early retirement about 10-15 years ago.

The people who can make their own jobs are the ones that have the security... it's in themselves. That's why I like trading.

After the merging, most of my friends, who originally worked at UBS were forced out by the SBC people. That included Quantitative Analyst, Business Analyst, Manager of a Risk Management Division, Programmers, Consultants, etc. Politics is politics. Every place is the same. I personally also had some bad experience with UBS.

That is one of the reasons I become an independent trader.
