the high level on intervention on this crisis lead me to believe the idea that the US is not likely to intervene to contain rampant commodity inflation(or exchange controls to control the dollar) because of the rise of free marketers from the chicago school and ayn rand influence might not be true at all. With hillary and obama in the pipeline and the democratic congress, who knows what will happen when this boom starts to get out of hand. maybe the gold bugs nightmares about the government confiscating gold might not be that crazy :eek:
