I do not know the salary levels. And, if you have "actual trading experience and licenses and a degree" and never made a living from trading .................This works.

Check my profile or LinkedIn. I spent most of my career (25 Years) as a proud member of the American Stock Exchange. I ran my own Broker Dealer and was an Option Market Maker from 1985 until 2010. Before that, I was a floor wire clerk and floor broker. I have a BS-MBA from NYU. When you are 56 years old, now 64, no one cares.

Well you need more than 3 years to start to make a living trading. Mine was about 8 years so maybe this would be also good for somebody who's trading but need a more stable income stream to support their trading. Would you be allowed to trade for yourself on the side while working at this job or is it considered conflict of interest? I would definitely give this job some consideration when I was first starting to trade for myself to give myself another source of supporting income.

Thank-you for being another voice to point this out. I'm only speculating, and I was also drawn into this conversation because @hilmy83 asked, and it was an excellent question. On the one hand, you're just a customer service rep, but on the other hand, you need a shit ton of qualifications. I can understand the certifications as Robert points out since this is a regulatory thing, but a degree? How will that help?

Imagine if the stocking clerk at the grocery store needed a food licence in order to handle the produce they are putting on the shelf. Or imagine the girl at the customer service counter needing a psychology degree in order to better communicate with customers and handle complaints.

I understand, as someone else pointed out, that Robert likely has tons of submissions, but I doubt anyone with all the right qualifications is going to truly love this job and want to stay. That entire description of qualifications necessary reads like you're the head trader or managing the department. We all know this job is only to be on the phone and either help clients execute trades if their platform goes down, or deal with angry clients who got a bad fill, or whatever other issue people need to call in for. As it states several times, you're just the liaison person between the angry customer and the guy who will have to fix the problem. This is frankly a $25 an hour job in many industries, but hopefully will pay so much more because of the insane requirements.

Sorry again Robert. I know you're a sponsor, and I know you're just offering an opportunity for someone, but I really think you will only get unqualified people, or desperate people, or people who are doing it just to start and will hope to upgrade after only a few months.

If the job was 100% remote I offer to automate it. AI chat. Ai generated documentation. AI generated everything...

Degree is for the client impressions, that's my guess. A university degree in many people's eyes is still considered a prestigious thing and it adds credential and boosts client confidence for the company. Lightspeed is not any kind of a brokerage/dealer and certainly not those discount brokers like IB; it's actually bona-fide brokerage where you know you are not dealing with some high-school dropout schmucks, you are actually having people who've received higher learning handling your money.

That's my speculation as to the requirement for the bachelor degree. Nowadays it's standard for any office jobs I find.

I have no idea if the 4 year degree is a 100% must. It is not up to me. Honestly, we could use someone conversational in Mandarin.

You need people who can speak Arabic or Farsi or whatever. According to what Elon Musk said, the next and eventual bottleneck for AI development is energy capacity. Dunno if alternative energy would be enough to provide all the juice that AI development requires so those Middle East oil countries would be even richer so that's where the $$ and/or trading hub for energy futures would be.

Draw no conclusions without reading the fine print to pre-existing conditions co-payments, limitations on choice of doctors, hospital stays and rehabilitation costs.

He's a site sponsor providing a service and extending an opportunity. Biggest complaint on this site is shit help desks, and Robert is looking to maintain a high level of service. You've become a group of HR micromanagers.
