If 1/03/06 is any indication of the year ahead, then volatility should be good for 2006. Nice to see a BO out of the low volatility blues.
Each session is another session, each day is another day, each week is another week, each quarter is another quarter. So if you're in a strong uptrend you shouldn't be countertrend trading for more than 15 minute to 2 hour moves, but when the music stops and you're on to the next session, day, week, or quarter be ready for the change.
After waiting all day for the correctly predicted move you adjourn to the bathroom. After moving your bowels you find the market has moved as well. 1) Do you bring your laptop to the john? 2) Do you bring your PDA? 3) Does your assistant place the trade while you're away? 4) What do you you do if your assistant is in with you? ; - ) Point: Market bottoms are often made while wiping your bottom.
