Canadians are big supporters of their medical system and would never ever want an American style system. You can argue about this all you want it's not an issue in my life, has never been a issue in my life, and I enjoy the low premiums I have had my entire life. In fact, Canadians just think Americans are stupid they can't get their act together and get a decent universal health care system together.

The "pain" is on Americans. If you've made a lot of money, then you may not feel the pain of some of your fellow Americans unless you can feel empathy for others. Which of course is why your country is awash in protests; not enough of you are taking important issues seriously at all and your fellow Americans are coming for you if you don't. Enjoy that "ring of truth"; up here in Canada we aren't having riots and looting and our protests are peaceful in nature.

Oh, and let's not forget Canadians outlive Americas across the board by 3 years. That number isn't going away it's directly impacted by the accessibility and quality of your health care system. Another hard number is the yearly cost Americans pay for said care. Not going away it seems.

Sick fuck. Hope they're able to trace the source. Seems entirely possible. Then again, if Portland FBI is in charge, nah.

Most likely the reason that Canadians outlive Americans is because they are coming over the border for superior medical care they can get in a timely manner in the U.S. (Yeah I know this is just a small percentage of the reason.)

In a situation involving a pandemic like COVID a public health care system like Canada's is far superior to the U.S. medical system which is a hodge-podge of information, insurers, records, and material needed to provide a coordinated response. Beyond the realities of the poor U.S. government response to COVID --- both the Canadian government response and medical system have demonstrated themselves to be superior in addressing this public health crisis.

You should keep in mind that I have publicly stated in this forum that the U.S. healthcare system needs to move to a public plan. However it should not be modeled on Canada's plan; it would be far better to put forward a plan similar to Germany's where people can select the public plan or choose to private plan (about 15% do) for extra cost with better coverage.

It should be noted however that Canada ranks at the very bottom of the list of first world nations with public medical care. As noted previously they are only one notch above the U.S. on the list of first world countries in terms of medical care and outcomes.

The wait times in Canada lead to 10% of your population to cross the border to get timely medical care. This has been documented by your own government.

As noted in the Twitter replies to this post... this is a controlled burn near a firebreak (the road) being done by the government.

Your post contains a whole lot of bs that I have no doubt you believe in. People have explained the data to you in the past but you just get into your usual denial mode and hand picked sources. I'm not interested.

My "hand picked sources" are the data from the Canadian government and articles from Canadian media outlets providing in-depth details. Feel free to continue to ignore the facts. Certainly you have demonstrated you have no material that can dispute the facts.

Of course you have already ignored the reporting by the CBC that Canadians are among most active in online right-wing extremism.

Maybe Canada needs to solve its own right-wing extremism problems before pointing at other countries.

Of course, Canada has had the largest mass murder shooting in Nova Scotia this year with 22 dead. Far exceeding any mass shooting event in the U.S. in 2020. Maybe Canada needs to sort out its own gun problems before squawking about gun control in the U.S.

I was referring to your "lists" that rank Canada last in public health care. The 10% figure is almost meaningless that was discussed in the past and what that figure was people who visited the US one time for any reason ( cosmetic surgery, sports injury, I bet it even includes those on vacation or on retirement ). I have no need to revisit this topic it is not me living in a country with an impractical health care system that the public is upset about for years on end. Oh, and I know you think Canadians are upset about our system, but they aren't.

You can reference the healthcare ranking list in any recent year.... the results are...

Canada ranked third-last for health care among developed countries
Out of 11 countries, Canada was ranked ninth for health care, placing just above France and the United States.

When compared with other first world nations with public medical plans, Canada does not fare very well.

I'm sorry but despite some unfortunate isolated events we can't keep up with the massive amount of gun related violence and mass shootings in the US. It's a big part of your culture and any attempts at gun control have failed.
