I had two people mention that this thread was ongoing on my website so here I am. Yep, I do better trading on Ebay than I do trading futures. Bingo. I started my trading blog so people could see that they were not alone blowing out their account. Not everyone is a winner. It is more of "cautionary tale" and a place for people to commiserate. I am just being my honest old self. I have a weatlth of knowledge from everyone who I have met on the way and books and websites I have read. I appreciate all the help I did get, but actually one trader summed it up best. Just a MA on a 5 min chart works. In the case of Forex it is more like 30 minutes. And yes, I know something you guys don't know about MAW donations. It is not what you'd expect. It will be on the evening news one of these days I guess. You will notice on woodie's website he hardly mentions MAW at all. Probably because they don't make donations anymore. And I find it funny that no one noticed my blog until I mentioned Woodie. Cathy

Hi Cathy, You have stated that you lost over 100K trading CCI method. How long did you spend on simulator? Where you profitable on sim? If you were consistanlty profitable on sim, what changed with real $. I always say that unless you are profitable on sim consistanly, you should not touch real capital under no circumstances. Hmm... How can one lose over 100K learning a method if she/he is using a good risk management (stops) and proper position sizing (NEVER over 1 car at a time until you're CONSISTENTLY profitable for at least couple of months and many trades)? Looks to me it's not a method fault at all...
I'm not a big advocate of CCI and rarely use it by now simply cause I found higher probability and better R/R ways to trade, but I am pretty sure that even raw Woodie's CCI setups do work and are profitable if applied with proper risk and trade management (limiting your losses and riding your profits for as long as the system says you to).
