Woodies CCI Index

Any one have any success or downfall using the woodies CCI index strategy?

 

I watch woodies cci and sometimes use it. Mostly just the zero line rejects, if you are familiar with that. Does it work all the time, no. Do I follow it religiously, no. I do like using it sometimes to help me pull the trigger. I also notice that it works better on trend days. Just my 2 cents.

CI_Woodies_Lnx_v3_1 (there are different ones, so I typed in the exact name) is a reliable forewarner in Metatrader. It's signaling about 4 - 6 bars in advance of a change in trend. I don't trade on it. For trading I use different MA indicators like LSMA, nonlagdot and Var Mov. Av. (all in Metatrader)

Probably all indicators work better on trend days.

 

Agreed. That is why price action is king when it comes to trading.

I often wonder how Woodie does on non-trend days?
