  2. My Husky, Maks, once snatched a chunk of Brie off of the counter and raced to the dog door before I could catch him. (Back yard is 1-acre, fenced.) I chased him around as he kept staying away so that I couldn't catch him... until he finally said, "screw it", and wolfed it down... plastic baggie and all.

I have extensive experience in K9 Training.. Advanced obedience, Agility, Scent/ Tracking & Bite work .. I trained out on Long Island in the mid- late `90`s at a K9 Kennel in which I was fortunate enough to have access to the most exotic breeds... Cane Corso, Argentine Dogo, APBT, & of course the Super Charged working dogs from Europe.. Czech Shepherds, Dutch Shepherd & our working dog breed of choice.. the Belgian Malinois... These were the type of dogs that if you were not paying attention & casually holding a leash & they decided to bolt.. the leash would take the skin right off the palm of your hands.. which I`d seen happen.

I`d taken bites from all these breeds.. The Dogo punctured me thru the suit, APBT pinched my muscle tissue up to a "tent" & black n blued me from my ankle to my butt cheek.. a Rottweiler crushed a barrel sleeve, etc.. so I know the power that these working dogs posses..

You really can`t compare a domesticated to semi domesticated working breed to a wild animal in the Wolf that is forced to hunt/ kill food daily, protect his pack from rivals/ predators & fight for breeding rights on a regular basis... these are animals that are no stranger to fighting for survival on a regular basis. A Wolfs teeth is accustomed to tearing tissue, crushing bone, locating vulnerable areas in the under belly/ soft tissue, forced to problem solve is what makes them a Top Predator & why they would come out on top vs a domesticated dog. That said, A Wolf would do anything to avoid a confrontation with a Dog & people as they are extremely shy & don`t enjoy confrontation, unless it is to feed the pack/ themselves.
Wolves are amazing animals that are sadly misunderstood & mistakenly eradicated from the US landscape.. they are an essential part of the ecosystem.. which is why they were reintroduced to places like Yellow Stone.

So I decided to watch the video.. Glad she addressed the deformity of the German Shepherd to accommodate the BS conformation AKC shows... Their top lines are not designed to slope.. that`s one of the reasons why the European dogs make the best working breeds.

One thing she was off on was the biting power... Shorter muzzled dogs like the Dogo, Rotti, APBT, etc have exceptionally stronger biting power than the longer muzzled dogs & even rival Wolves longer muzzle biting power.
