I was referring to the many decades preceding DEI, where the white guy pretty much always has the edge, all else being equal and sometimes not even close. I’m not commenting on the legitimacy of the current initiative, which is the subject of another debate. But it only follows that an action, especially if unfair and prolonged, eventually leads to a reaction. And here we are.
Every bank that failed was run by a straight white guy. Virtually all the major tech companies that are driving the innovation and the stock market returns are run by minorities or by a gay guy. that’s scale.
Depending on who you ask, Jews are white or not. Some don't want to be classified as white. Also, where do you get this information about minorities running all the innovative companies? When I search for these "innovative" companies, I get large corporations with most often white male CEOs. If you look at cutting edge open source technology, it's mostly white males and east asian males. This is where everyone can contribute freely. Yet, nearly all these minorities somehow just...don't.
I doubt that. You are just expecting a certain treatment and when you don’t get it you think your skin color is working against you. The other guy never gets that certain treatment in the first place. there are tons of studies that show this. From getting bank loans, purchasing a home, acceptance for jobs, etc. (normalizing for qualifications)
apple Nvda Amd Google Microsoft And countless other tech companies East Asians are minorities too. They have done better than their black counterparts because the black experience is different.
The U.S. is basically the same (last sentence). Sure many deserved to be incarcerated but the ratio is way out whack that either non-blacks are getting away with a lot of chit or a lot of blacks are getting charged and convicted simply because of the skin complexion. (SEMAFOR) Brazil’s Supreme Court decriminalized possession of marijuana for personal use, a move that could reduce the country’s massive prison population. The decision — which comes years after several Latin American nations decriminalized the drug — was welcomed by progressive lawmakers in Brazil, who say such laws further increased inequalities in the country. The majority of pre-trial detainees are first-time offenders “who carried small amounts of illicit substance with them,” the head of a security think tank in Brazil told the Associated Press. Despite making up just 10% of the total population, Black Brazilians make up almost two-thirds of the country’s overcrowded prison population.
They can't be offended, they come from the same middle class hoods, went to the same colleges Pops and Mom went to and even got a connection to a good start up job in a major corporation. The real challenge started when they had to really work hard in a competitive environment at the job. 20 years of that makes them feel like they deserve all they got because, damn the job's been hard so why should all these woke people take away what I worked so hard for.... Yawn.
