The world largely runs on merit but not actually. Invisible barriers prevent certain people from exceling and propel other people from exceling. As a white person in the Phillipines I'm sure you are aware of your privilege even compared to local with similar (but local) pedigree.
That’s one way of putting it. Thing is, normal people with kids and tax bills know that some things should remain marginal. Like drug-addled vagrants, pedophiles, inept diversity hires, street criminals, illegal alien scofflaws, and male sexual fetishists who want to get paid to beat up women.
straw man argument. and not sure what kids and tax bills has to do with normal. you saying that childless couples are not normal? or real estate moguls who basically pay no taxes are not normal?
I hope there's more wokeness. It's a competitive world and I take every advantage I can. As a side note, unfortunately those elite schools that stopped requiring SATs briefly are getting discounted by HR for specific class years. I want to compete against those class years .
%% LOL\ + thats why many of them are in court, now ; i illegal to discriminate against Asians because thy are good @ math
%% Your sarcasm is right; but he is too. Done business on Wall Street for decades, dont live there /too crowded for me I, also am a country lover LOL. Same principle , no turtle on a fence post got there by himself or herself
Have you ever complained about inept straight white male hires? And you know full well that there have been many of those over the years. None of you guys on the Right seem to be especially offended by that.
This simply does not happen at any scale, because DEI programs by definition exist to promote underperforming minorities into positions they wouldn’t otherwise attain. I’ll also note that race-motivated federal bans on screening job applicants by IQ tests or competitive exams make it always and everywhere more difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff, when it comes to hiring. That’s part of the reason why you now need a college degree to get hired for practically any non-service job, which in turn drives the parasitic education industry.
