looked up Holder quote: "I’m still enjoying what I’m doing, there’s still work to be done. I’m still the President’s wing-man, so I’m there with my boy. So we’ll see," Holder said in an interview on the Tom Joyner radio show. https://www.politico.com/blogs/politico44/2013/04/eric-holder-im-still-the-presidents-wingman-160861
IMO - IG Horowitz’s Report and John Huber’s work will bear more consequences to the mid-terms and the general election than any minnow from Mueller’s fishing expedition. Eric Holder’s twitter reaction (as is Brennan’s) is very telling. It’s perfectly understandable that he’s upset - he’s considered a DNC Presidential front runner for 2020. Holder is fully aware of the blowback risks inherent in the Horowitz/Huber mandate. How’s it going to look if the management of the Department he ran from 2009-2015 under the Obama administration is under criminal referral? Comey, Brennan, and possibly Clapper would be better served looking for good attorneys right about now.
The dems continue to be severely divided on how to play this mueller thing in the elections. Pelosi and that crew spend a good portion of their time trying to tamp down the impeachment cries. They fear an election where trumps base will be hyper-energized and they also fear an election where the only platform the dems are offering up consists of various ways to hate Trump. Yet, a good portion of the dems are already solidly on board for going down that road. Also, things have turned a bit. Trump is on the offensive, the IG is on the offensive, some of the defense attorneys are on the offensive, and even some of the judges as we have seen with Flynn's new judge, and the judge in Virginia. And of of course, every day now is another revelation that the charge that much of this is all a witch-hunt concocted in back rooms is being supported by the evidence. So, the meuller card may end out getting played bigly- except trump will be the one playing it. As discussed, mueller will try to pick off don jr. or jared on some side crap as a way of kneecapping Trump because he cannot get him directly. I just dont think that is going to go down well with the public even if the underlying charge can be proven. Mueller is no longer the only game in town. The defense attorneys, a difficult judge, an IG, a special counsel appointment, etc. can take the oxygen out of his room very quickly and unexpectedly. And the media and the lefties are all aglow over some charges that will stick on Mannafort for some tax issue six years ago, or Michael Cohen's taxi medallion sales. No one else in the country gives a shiite though and fails to see how that connects Trump to Russian conspiracies.
