    hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and i was wondering if anybody had any experience using WL4-Pro in conjunction with Forex trades. I was also thinking to use Interactive-Brokers (IB) as a broker.

    1. Can i use WL4-Pro with IB in realtime for the execution?
    2. Is this reliable? If not, what kind of problem can i expect?
    3. Can i backtest with an IB-demo account before going live?
    4. Is the IB-demo data reliable for backtesting?
    5. Any other point(s) i should be made aware of?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

As far as I know WL4 doesn't support IB as a broker. It did briefly before takeover by Fidelity, then the adapter was removed permanently. Anyway, WL4 isn't suitable for automated trading, it's too ancient. I use it daily for backtesting though.

  3. AmiBroker plays nice with IB and has a similar feature set to WL.
    (Any it's way cheaper).
