  1. John McCain is his friend and says he's a decent man

"I have to tell you he is a decent person, and a person you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States... He's a decent family man, citizen who I just happen to have disagreements with." -- John McCain

  2. I'll try one last time -- Gord doesn't get it but someone else might:

It isn't the "media." The same old same old GOP playbook is obsolete. Spouting the same old messages (such as guilt by association) doesn’t consistently work anymore, even in some of the nation’s reddest districts.

The loss of three straight special elections, in once solidly Republican districts cannot be explained simply by “bad candidates”, the media, or by being out-organized. They are canaries in the coal mine.

The political atmosphere facing House Republicans this November is the worst since Watergate and is far more toxic than the fall of 2006 when they lost thirty seats (and the majority) and came within a couple of percentage points of losing another fifteen seats.

Without some meaningful changes in direction, the GOP is heading for losses bordering on another twenty seats in the House and up to a half dozen Senate seats.

The Republican brand is in the trash can. If it were a dog food, they would take it off the shelf.

I'm just curious.....what exactly do you expect the "real Obama" to be IF (Still plenty of time for McCain to pull this out) he becomes president?

You think Obama is gonna be planning terrorist activities against the US from the white house?

Or maybe he's gonna finally get even and force white people to become slaves to get even!

Or he's gonna impose sharia law in the US......even though he hangs out with reverand wright in a christian church......because apparantly Obama is the only muslim that hangs out and prays in a christian church? (I'm still confused on this one)

Oh yeah, the US is gonna become a socialist country because Obama wants to raise the tax on the rich by a WHOPPING 3%....yes that 3% is going to send the economy into a depression, nevermind the massive budget deficits that BOTH parties have caused, the retard subprime borrowers and greedy banks, the down right stupid derivatives IBs got wrapped into and are now causing an economic collapse...but none of this has anything to do with the recession we are in...its gonna be the 3% tax hike thats the real reason for the job losses we've experienced right?

Maybe Joe the idiot should do some research and realize that our crappy BS tax system is already socialist in the sense that it doesn't apply the same tax rate to everybody regardless of income level. Both Demoncrats and Redumblicunts have supported this socialistic tax system just the same so Obama is no more socialist than McCain. Obama wants to steal my money and give it to the poor in the US and McCain wants to steal my money and give it to the poor in Iraq....either way I'm being robbed!

Maybe Joe the idiot should also realize that we should have a flat tax so we have a less socialist tax system.....but guess what Joe the idiot, your taxes are going up!! Now you really can't afford to buy your shitty (I'm not apologizing for the pun :p ) plumbing business. Why does Joe the idiot want to leech off the riches tax dollars like he is right now, and then wants a "fair tax system" when he gets rich?

This is a thread about Obama's associations. Go to a thread about taxes if you want to discuss taxes...

Perhaps you can name a person who is a long time associate of Obama and not a scoundrel, that could vouch for his character?

  10. Another Kool-Aid Drinker:

Scott McClellan Republican former press secretary to Bush

“From the very beginning I’ve said I’m going to support the candidate who has the best chance of changing the way Washington works and getting things done. I will be voting for Barack Obama. ”
