  1. My Router

I am using one (similar or exactly) like this. Obv I'm not HFT or big corporation.

I've had for 1.5 yrs+ and no problems, wireless signal is really strong, all the standard routing options in the config, and u have 4 ports for wire if u want.

  2. Well, lets get real. You want long distance?

in 2 weeks my company moves to new locations. Internet is already installed. Main link is wireless, covering about 3km to the ISP's main hub. Cheapest solution for the bandwidth I need.

Mikrotik Groove on my end - less than 100 USD. Backhaul level OS - i.e. something an ISP can use on the back to run the whole show ;)

Record is IIRC more than 50km, but not on the groove and with directional antennas.

Measured speed on my link, btw., is 35mbit down, 24Mbit up.

  3. Masterm1ne,

Thanks for the feedback. Was the wireless connection of your Netgear router stable and reliable in the past 1.5 years? In other words, did your router drop wireless connections from time to time? Thanks!
