If you are willing to spend some money on a low powered laptop, you can set up a wireless network and use VNC to view and control your trading machine from anywhere in the apartment. VNC is free and it gives you full remote access to your machine. Make sure you have good security settings on your wireless network and buy a wireless router that is of the same brand and type as the wireless card. Good luck.
