Some time ago I saw a noise reduction kit for PC reviewed. Apparently it was reasonably effective. Included things like some special material to glue to the inside of PC case to absorb sound, damp resonances etc. I forget where the review was. You can probably google for it.
I haven't gone through their site yet, so maybe it is on the site. I just set it up Friday, and was gone this weekend. It's model wrt54g. I actually like the simple method, unscrew the antenna.
Well, one of the firmware update release notes is: "Resolved issue where the WLAN LED stays on even when wireless is disabled" Which sort of implies that Wireless CAN be disabled. http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Sate...goBlobs&blobwhere=1130793011719&ssbinary=true In their manual, it shows that on the router settings, on the WIRELESS tab, there is a setting for WIRELESS NETWORK MODE (first one on that page). Set it to DISABLE. PDF of the user's guide: http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Sate...goBlobs&blobwhere=1130793011444&ssbinary=true Page 30
Thank you, I'll look through the manual again. I did a quick scan on Friday and must have missed that.
