WinXP Services... save and restore settings?

I once saw a program which would "save WinXP Services settings". Then if you had to reinstall the OS, you could just run the program and apply those settings changes to the new install without having to do each setting individually.

Anybody know of such a program?

    Thanks,

Could it be done with the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard (Start/Programs/Accessories/Files and Settings Transfer Wizard)?

And maybe with the other stuff one can use something like this: http://ajsystems.com/ezb.html

    Good luck

gnome, what you want is a "startup manager" that also handles processes. One of the many freeware and shareware programs in the "process management" category of MajorGeeks should be just the ticket for you:

    Others to consider:

PC Mag's granddaddy of them all, Startup Cop - original, Pro (both free) and Pro 2 ($7.97, but easily found elsewhere online free, Google the .zip file name). Pro and Pro 2 let you create and save profiles, a nice feature.

CodeStuff Starter - freeware, haven't used it, but seems highly rated.

Thanks for the info, but it doesn't seem like what I'm looking for. There are ways to set up a "profile"... then on startup, the program asks you "which profile to use this time"... that's not the same.

It's more like how a copy of Firefox Bookmarks can be exported to a flash drive in an html file, then copied back when necessary.
