I have a winxp setup that automatically logs off after about 10secs. It came from an institutional environment and the user doesnt have screensaver control. I got the Admin password and changed the screensaver to 20mins but the darned thing still goes to Alt-ctrl-del to enter mode after 10mins. Does anyone know what is likely to be doing this and/or where I should look for it?
Try unchecking the box for "On resume, password protect" (see attached screen shot). Are you in a networked environment or on a stand-alone machine?
Without knowing what type of machine you are using, it could be that the suspend feature in the Power Management portion of the BIOS was set-up by whomever originally configured the rig and that is what is causing the problem...just a thought
