when I watch the news, I get very blood thirsty. But even God doesn't kill men just because they are evil. Besides, half the people in eastern Ukraine aren't even sure if they are Russian or Ukranian. Just something for people who watch tv to fight over.

I think the reasons for what this man is doing is far more strategical. I think he is trying to influence POTUS2016 elections. He knows that a republican president is better for higher oil prices. He knows that Democrats on average have much weaker foreign policy than republicans. That is why the Obama administration has to show massive strength and not hesitate, not for a moment.

So Putin starts a war of words because he knows Americans are squeamish. The guy knows he can't win a real war so instead he will try to win the war of words. "I am going to put 160 more inter ballistic missiles blah blah blah" Are you fucking kidding me? What are you in kindergarten? Very little of this makes sense.

Russia is bankrupt without oil. It can't back a real war without high oil prices, let alone take on a real army/navy/air force. Reagan bankrupted Russia by imploding oil prices. Putin has to get oil above $85 a barrel.

What is sad about this is all this money could be spent on real problems like educating Russian and American children instead of idiotic posturing.

You really need to do your research on Russian military capabilities. While I tend to believe that the west would eventually win a conventional war with Russia, it wouldn't even be in the same universe as the "walk in a park" you continue to spout off about.

You know nothing, Jon Snow. (a play on the thread title)

  6. How long has Putin been the powerful guy in Russia? I know since at least 2001, he met with Bush after 9/11. But surely by now Russians must be getting tired of him. Maybe stirring things up is a way to try to keep himself still relevant.

You should go find the approval rate of Putin before suggesting they might be tired of him. Last I checked, it was 72%.

Obama is too chickenshit to even fire on that guy from North Korea, let alone Russia.
