I know the session times with the one example that you gave (it was a daytrade). I just would hate to find an intraday swing and find myself exiting to avoid the overnight hold because I tied up less money in my daytrade account. ES P.S. I have checked statistics...used offset ma's on daily charts...I have tried every way to enter the open and get out before the close including breakouts..its just not my cup of tea. but persuade me do not give up so easy..send me a private thread I will try anything.
Hello ES, It's great to hear from Overnight. I'm fine with his/her neutral stance on which direction is faster... So, without any documentation, but, 20 years of reading tape.. It just feels like the short side falls much faster. All due respect to Overnight... We need friends in here. Greg
I just have one question...when in the cave do I grease up before the light or after the light? ES P. S. but seriously...so when making envelope channels you should have the bottom channel offset one tick wider right?
To support Overnights observation with the long and short side movement. Today, Friday 08/03/2018.. We had an 30 second 2 point Impulse in the ES. Around 12:16 est. Low volume move above an inside fractal.. This is not readable when staying on the DOM. It just jumps up.
It is cool man. Yes, we need friends in here for sure. You read the tape, I just go by basic chart reading. I do feel from my observations of just a few years that in this day and age of hyper-volatility in the equity indices, long and short bursts seem equal. And it is logical....Longs slowly build, but when there is a blowout it is harsh and quick on the short side. Makes sense. The whole panic deal. But shit, what the hell happened over these past 6 months in tech? There have been panic buys? What the...Hehhe. Yesterday was perfect example! Was that all just to get AAPL to 1 trillion? WTF
