  2. Looks to me like you're all hosed up.

Are you buying a "gaming" or "trading" computer? If gaming, your video card choice is weak.. at least for the money you're spending. If trading, you're overkill all around.

  4. Lol, no gaming, only data crunching, hence the weak video card. The program I'm writing does statistical pattern finding and mapping with an AI reference bank so I want to be able to jam lots of numbers through with efficiency. On that note, I'm thinking to replace on of the hard drives with a solid state drive. I have no experience with these or with building computers in general, but it seems like it would be fun.

  5. Looks like an awesome system which should serve you well for a long time.

Not sure how much more for Ultimate x64 but I'd look at it. What's a couple more bucks?

  9. Not so much system speed as locks on things you don't want locked. As to what specifically is locked, I'm sure you could read MS's menu but even that's not going to show you everything that's locked.

For the $80 I would spend the money.

  10. GS19

    GS19

Updated my system with i7 and windows 7, nice improvement in speed. Had one question and CPUsolutions solved it the same day. Added more memory also.
