Glad you've found a temporary fix, but keep a mental note of your install date because I recall that after 30 days you can't switch back to Windows 7. Luckily for me, it only took 2-3 days for problems to appear, so I never faced that dilemma.
You would think a premier company like Microsoft would take a bit more time ironing out the bugs before releasing it.
I've had no such bugs to date running Windows 10 64-bit which I purchased. Xeon processor, 24 GB RAM, NVIDIA Quad Card. 4 TB internal HDD and 4 TB external backup drive. I've disabled tracking and use the Kaspersky private browsing extension loaded into all my browsers. Boots and runs great for me, in many ways the utilities are easier to use and more intuitive than W-7 or that POS W-8. YMMV.
And KGB general Kaspersky is not tracking anything.. good luck. There is no such thing as private browsing anymore. Just use your trading machine for trading only, if you are concerned. If you are not concerned - who cares?..
Anybody running Win7 or Win8 who wants to prevent Windows 10 from nagging you to upgrade or, even worse, surreptitiously downloading on your system behind the scenes — here's a great free program to do just that. Called GWX (Get Windows 10) Control Panel it will show you exactly what's on your system and allow you to stop Microsoft in its tracks. GWX Control Panel
