I might be configured differently than you - Workstation Xeon Processor, quad monitors. I simply re-loaded the NVidia video driver and my setup has been running great with W-10. I had to replace my internal HDD recently and Windows 7 Pro 64-X had been factory installed. If it weren't for corrupted files, I probably would have kept W-7 - it's still on my other identical Workstation. Again, I would re-load your video driver and adjust your display settings in the Control Panel.
If you're keeping Windows 10 you might want to toggle some of the default privacy settings:- http://lifehacker.com/what-windows-10s-privacy-nightmare-settings-actually-1722267229 Good luck!
Or, if you run Kaspersky or Norton Anti-Virus, go ahead and load the private browsing extension into your browser. They track you just as well in Windows 7 btw - just not as obvious.
I hated Windows 8 when it first came on the market, so I went back to using Windows 7 Pro. I got a new laptop just last month that came with Windows 10 Home edition. It looks a lot sleeker than Windows 8 with a user-customizable interface. And much to my surprise, I haven't encountered any problem. BTW here's a free tip: You can upgrade your Windows 10 Home edition to the Windows 10 Pro edition for free by using your Windows 7 Pro product key. The Pro version comes with extra perks like Group Policy consoles and whatnot that aren't available in the Home edition.
It took about 10 hours to download windows 10 and then it said there was an error over data mismatches. Whatever that means ?
Microsoft sucks 100% at the very least. In case anyone doesn't know this, they are downloading their stupid Windows 10 onto your computer without letting people know. Stealth downloading. A-holes.
Well, before I started uninstalling and reinstalling things I figured I'd try a VGA cord. Lo and behold it worked fine. I dug up a new HDMI cord and put that on and all seems well, at least tonight. So after starting a MSFT, WIN 10 hate fest it looks like it is most likely a HDMI cord gone bad. I haven't had that happen before, but I hope that is the problem. Thanks for the help!
