So far I am ok with Windows 10 on 2 of my machines. There are still issues with apps that are blurry on my high resolution displays but there are now ways around it...(finally) Definitely it is slow to run a 4k screen on even top of the line Pluggable usb3.0-->DP adapters. I only use this solution to display spreadsheets that update every 10 seconds or rather static data that does not change much and hence refresh rates are not a concern
A question - does your computer work for you or someone else? A test - there is a Get Win 10 flag on my taskbar. I stopped task GWX.exe and then hovered over it. It disappeared. I have control of my own computer - or do I?
It will startup again on it's own and removing it is v complex but basically start, control panel, programs and features, view installed updates (hidden in upper left corner), scroll thru the list and select the following kb's. This list includes other malware that serves no useful purpose. 288 2822 302 2345 303 5583 306 8708 307 5249 308 0149 After they've been removed you have to run windows update. These updates will reappear as new. The menu for hiding them from future updates is deviously concealed behind a right click menu, as if it wasn't already difficult getting this far. Right click on each kb and a popup menu will enable you to select hide update.
I run 10 on my client work PC, but 7 professional 64x will stay on the trading PC. Just got it last week when I installed a new HDD. It has not been buggy for me, it does boot faster and it is more intuitive to use. But honestly, it just looks different. I agree completely about MS putting all their efforts into commercial consumer tracking instead of improving upon an arcane OS. MS sorely needs to upgrade Disk Management. I mean, even with a GPT partition, W10 still won't recognize more than 2 TB. I had to download an Acronis Virtual Disk Driver in order to use all of my 4 TB on the new internal HDD. And some smart software management in terms of resolving legacy program conflicts would be nice. Because the legacy Microsoft programs like Office have some of the worst conficts - especially with Outlook.
Are you only here to put up lies? You already troll all the TA forums and now you also pollute the technical forums with your lies. Where are your secret key loggers and voice recorders? I don't see them.
Maybe he is referring to Cortana or other apps coming with Win 10 that offer those customer experience improvements which might not be so easy to get rid of even for non-subscribers. I just encountered those stories searching Web but cannot provide more details since I am not interested in using Win 10 now. I think that Win 10 EULA is self explanatory in regards to privacy expectations for the end user. The upside is that Win 10 is free.
