Of course we are talking final versions here.I run an isolated win 10 version on a laptop and use a pure local account and turned off any and all information sharing. Am I sure my personal information is 100% secure? No but certainly am I sure there is built in key logger. And I am aware that nothing is 100% secure the second one plugs in an ethernet cable.
So your keylogger was BS. Just trying to hold you accountable for your bs you post. That personal information gathering can be more or less completely turned off by the way. I am careful but not paranoid.
The curious thing about some Microsoft users is the way they worship that company like a God. Sad. When did love me love my operating system become the way of the dealing with the world? For those who care to research the matter and decide for themselves - The post above clearly states it will not be able to be turned off. Further more Win 10 updates will not be able to be controlled anymore and will be free to users. It is a tiny registry upgrade step from disable to enable. The worst thing IMO is that logging keystrokes will eventually be captured by other entities unknown to Microsoft or the users. IMO there is no legitimate reason to record every keystroke for any technology. I am wondering what companies are going to do about the forced upgrade since suppliers have told me that there is other stuff going on behind the scenes as well. One asked me what ever happened to democracy and choice? Remember that famous ad from Apple so many years ago?
OK. I may have a lead on the most likely problem with Chrome on Win 7. I need to find out whether it is the fault of the webpage I read daily, Chrome or Windows. I have had some fun trapping them a little but I require a lot more time to nail their ip address and entry vector and I am not sure it is worth it for me to do it. I suspect something new that I have never heard of before: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malvertising I have been offered these hot deals today: <<<<PROBLEM - lf.uplander.xyz says update Flash player to the latest version!>>>> <<<<facebook.fbprize-cm.xyz says - shaw communications user claim your prize now!>>>>> <<<<CONFIRM NAVIGATION - make 25896 EVREY WEEK CLICK ON BUTTON AND START MAKING MONEY TODAY>>>> <<<<the page at 1928621325.rsc.cdn77.org says: call microsoft immediately at this number or too free hot line a the same number don't open browser etc and dont shutdown or restart the computer ...>>>> Note the mispelling of "every". I omitted the phone number to call as it is probably bogus however there is a trace they can't hide when I get properly setup. The final offer came up several times while I was trying to type this warning to folks. (That may be co-incidence or particularly disturbing) I think I understand the vector now but time and some special things to figure out a solution. volpunter = since you know I am lieing, please disregard my posts. Thanks. FWIW.
stop changing the topic: Your claims Windows 10 houses a key-logger in the final version that records every key stroke and reports them back to Microsoft is an outright lie and false claim.
stop changing the topic: Your claims Windows 10 houses a key-logger in the final version that records every key stroke and reports them back to Microsoft is an outright lie and false claim. Dude, if this was a stock and not Windows 10 you publicize lies about you would be in for libel and possibly market manipulation. Your claims are from the ground up fabricated and nowhere documented or proven. In fact they are totally outrageous and outright bizarre.
Aside those details regarding key logging and the likes the most important change is that Win 10 is more about marketing, consumer behavior research, targeted advertising than computing. In short it will concentrate on corporate agenda and goals instead of focusing on most efficient and secure computing environment. The idea of being able to customize security settings and other options is an illusion since it would become full time job to monitor changes done by Microsoft on each update. I am not thrilled about Microsoft idea of distributed computing where my bandwidth, hardware and electricity will serve as platform to store, compile, submit and forward their work and behavioral or usage data. Not to mention that numerous additional background services that come with Win 10 will definitely impact performance. From a legal point of view it is also interesting to see that company policy can override laws enacted by lawmakers. I was testing Win 10 technical preview but did not notice anything compelling to upgrade from Win 8 or even Win 7 but I certainly have a choice since I use Linux as well. I am just not ready yet to give total control of my computer to Microsoft but will certainly watch this space and competition since hardware OEM's are on their own now.
Win 10 is definitely a technological improvement over win 8. There are some serious quirks (blurry fonts and graphics on higher resolution displays which was not the case in Win 7 ) but also improvements. For the first time ever my sleep mode works and multi display management works better (I run 3 video cards and 2 usb-4kDP adapters to drive all my screens on my discretionary trading machine). And I agree with you hopefully there will be sufficient backlash so that MS will not touch settings made by a user upon subsequent updates.
I'm curious how many monitors you're using on that pc. Also if you would prefer w7 if you didn't have monitor issues with w7. Also interested in your thoughts on whether usb has enough throughput to drive 4k monitors without slowing cursor movement or other reasons it could be inadvisable to consider usb solutions.
Some incredible things have happened to my machine and there are some very interesting things to think about to make an intelligent decision. First, I set two "traps" in my previous post and to my small annoyance they have both disappeared. My hacked email account was fixed after 3 years of my monitoring it. That happened the next day after my post where I deliberately the placed my tripwire. The hack started on a carribean cruise where when after I checked my email again at home, I noticed it was acting strangely (the biggest method of fighting bad software is to know what good software looks like and always be slightly paranoid => a learned response. Spooks will understand this along with superb traders). The usual fix of changing passwords on the cruise didn't work and I realized that the email certificate had been fiddled with (I didn't know what it might mean at the time). It took me a while to realize that the stuxnet attack might be involved but I was on the alert for it after thinking a bit about stuxnet. Calls to my service provider were answered by nice people who didn't understand and considered me paranoid and so I used that email account to get my hacker to jump through hoops for 3 years. Fixed one day later - coincidence? Maybe. I guess playtime is over for that counter-hack. Darn it! To the microsoft (AKA NSA) or hacker (?) that repaired my machine - a sincere thankyou and I look forward to our next encounter. ( The second fix I mentioned with google chrome uncovered a police investigation which made perfect sense and the ip address disappeared right after I reported it to Chrome. I will keep mum on it since to much information trains the other side and I am not afraid of either side. I do have to keep my best methods secret however.) I may have set more tripwires however. Fear! The really odd thing is that I have been unable to catch the ad attacks again. They have completely disappeared, now that I am setup up to seek them out. In addition, the windows update force window has disappeared on my machine so I went ahead and updated my system with the windows normal update process. ( My reasoning, BTW, is that if there is ever a massive class action, I want a clean record so I can be part of it by doing reasonable actions. Some key friends are fighting it tooth and nail but I say lets think about this a bit more). So the attack vector ( which is really serious BTW and I need to think more on - who to hold responsible when 3 parties contribute? Those interested can google "Angler attack kit" - a very serious threat IMO). To whoever fixed my windows update issue and the ad issue - thankyou sincerely. All any customer wants is a machine that they don't have to fix every day and to do their legitimate work. So my update is I have installed the patches which suddenly work (paranoid note to self - do some research to see if the "technician patch error link above" was really a sign that the entire windows update function is compromised? Hopefully not but given the state of "military intelligence" and coverups of government screwups - maybe?). I am still on windows 7 and will not go to windows 10 until I see 3 years of solid performance (if I have the choice). My machine appears to be operating completely better for the first time in 3 years. Thanks to who ever did that for me. I have not yet made my final decision but there does appear to be some hope for windows. Now why is there a crazy man attacking me on posts suddenly? Is he a stuxnet hacker? Is he from the government - here to help? Is he just a crazy man?(Note to Mr. Gates. Please send me a cheque for 10000 dollars and I will only write good things about windows for the rest of my life - you have the location, address and you know I am honorable. I will not tell anyone about the cheque as long as it doesn't bounce.) Like a good trade, I need a bit more information before I place my bet. To prevent market manipulation caused by my criticism of my experience and to prevent legal action by one crazy man (who BTW seems not to understand trading or the law) I will report my thoughts after this earnings report. Therefore Mr Gates. Time is of the essence (crazy man - that is a legal phrase) I read this today and have made money off of it years ago - http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-10-22/leaked-e-mail-cia-director-says-us-screwed-iran-after-911 I hope to have more fun playing and thinking ( and trading - new year high last week using long positions). Sorry for the length of the post. Hopefully it was entertaining. Those who think I am the crazy man check out some of my past posts as to predictions made and did they come true. Nobody can win all the time but throw enough spaghetti against the wall and some will stick! LOL.
