I just found that NYSE is no longer an option to route your orders. That really sucks! Everybody knows that NYSE has the largest market share for NYSE-listed stocks and you will get the best liqudity on NYSE. Unfortunately StreetSmart Pro does not provide NYSE as a valid option to route your orders. That is the last straw for me. I am thinking of moving money.
so when i set a conditional order and check the box "keep alert active after logoff" the route switches to smartEx and will not even show other routes. nice job schwab guys, do you think you be more obvious management is only in it for the money. don't get me wrong, i have nothing against a company making money, but by touting a more powerful almost identical platform, i call that deception.
I hate to think what will happen tomorrow at 2:15. They have six months to get a platform ready and it can't display net worth or BP accurately. You can't short through ECN's, the MM boxes take up way too much space because of the extra line devoted to the special conditions box, but you can't have a default hidden size order.
In case the Schwab people are still visiting this site: Volume does not show up in the trading windows. The Dynamic ticker does not work. Hopefully this is a temporary issue: No Inet (NSDQ) book In level II today. Only Arca book. Portfolio Manager is no longer available in Pro. This was a nice tool. Unfortunately it looks like 'adios' for the PM. Too bad. Just a few observations.
That's pretty interesting. Nearly 100% of their customer orders were non-directed. No wonder they don't understand the CT customer.
yep, posted the same a few weeks ago in this thread. scwhab is obligated to route orders through UBS for a total of 8 years.
Old positions still aren't cleared out today even though I was told it would be. And where is the commissions I generated today? Is that what (margin balance) is? I filled out a application to IB today...will probably switch over completely by the end of the month.
I requested to transfer about 80% of my money to IB today. I am going to transfer my IRA account completely to IB next month. Obviously this StreetStupid Pro is not as good as CyberTrader Pro, but it still has some nice features that it has inherited from CyberTrader Pro. For example, I like its trading window closed associated with its chart. You only need to type your symbol once to get both your chart and your trading window and the response is pretty fast. In IB, you need to type your symbol twice (plus a few extra clicks) to get the same thing. Besides, you have to wait a few seconds to see the chart. IB's totalview window does not even incorporate ARCA quotes even though I have a data subscription to ARCA. It is sad to see such a nice platform to go out of business forever and it is also sad that I cannot even find a replacement. I really hate these Charles Schwab managers.
