OK well it looks like you can see p&l per share if you go to the Account Detail window, go View, then select Positions. This opens up a new window that's marginally better. Now if you will excuse me I need to go and vomit.
Today is my first day using StreetSmart Pro. There are two problems so far. 1. SS Pro does not provide NYSE open book. I guess if you are street smart, you don't need an open book. 2. The buy and sell button positions have been switched. I have used CyberTrader Pro for so long that I always push the wrong buttons today. That cost me a lot of money today. Very sad!
A few other things to note: 1. when you place a new order....your old order in that particular stock isn't automatically cancelled. I inadvertently bought/shorted more stock than I wanted because I didn't realize this. 2. The "Cxl All" button in the trading window doesn't cancel all your open orders....only the orders for the stock you currently have loaded in the trading window. To cancel all orders for a different stock...you have to load that stock into the trading window and then hit "Cxl All" again.
Thanks for your post. This StreetSmart Pro looks very similar to CyberTrader Pro. But in practice, they are quite different. It is very easy to be mislead here.
Anyone know how the hell to clear out closed positions in the open position window???? I have a backlog of 3 days worth of activity in there.
I think you can select an option to make Cxl All apply to all open orders or just to the one stock. So you can have multiple orders active for the same ticker? You couldn't do that in CT. I actually like that feature a lot. Apparently there is no way to display your daily accumulated P& L. Pretty basic feature for a day trader platform. They have a lot of work to do here to make this as user friendly as CT.
AAA....if you can point me to where I can select the option to apply "Cxl All" to all stocks I would appreciate it...can't find it. I asked Schwab CS via "Live Help"...and they couldn't give me an answer....only that they'll "look into it". As it is...I hate to constantly check to see if I have any open orders.
In the MM box, click on settings, general, orders. In the right hand pane, there will be a line "Apply Cancel All to".
AAA....aaaah....I saw that but I thought it related to something else. Tried it...and yes it does cancel the way Cybertrader had set up in the past. Thanks!
