Will you stay with Cyber/Schwab if they only offer per trade pricing?

  2. Routing is huge.

I used to have a Schwab Trader CT account that was merged into Schwab. ( http://www.schwabtrader.com/ )

I traded a bit with StreetSmart Pro even after those accounts were merged into Schwab.

The routing on Schwab was too slow for me. I kept missing trades on Streetsmart Pro that I obtained at another broker even when typing the order at the other broker AFTER the order was entered into Streetsmart Pro.

I always saw & knew about CyberTrader (I've been a trader for 12 years.). They used to have a java platform but it was missing key features that I needed & they couldn't supply so I didn't open an account. (The software platform I wasn't interested in at the time.)

Anyway.... to get back on track, I eventually opened a CyberTrader account this year. I was STUNNED at how fast & how well CyberXchange worked! I was also pleasantly surprised how much easier the CyberTrader platorm worked over StreetSmart Pro. Even the simple things such as having the Cancel Order button right on the trading screen made a huge difference in trading. CyberTrader Pro makes trading seemless. You can focus on the trading, not the operation of the software. Not so with StreetSmart Pro.

Trades that I'd miss with the StreetSmart Pro account that became used verrrry rarely I'd catch with CyberTrader Pro.

Trading is my livelihood. I can't afford to use products that are cumbersome to use & provide sub-par executions. Unfortunately, in my experience, that's StreetSmart Pro.

I hope I can continue with the CyberXchange logic with a new StreetSmart Pro that has been promised for the end of the year.

I *do* have a family to feed though. I can't go by hopes of what may happen. I need solid answers. I look forward to seeing what appears to me, as the trader, as an almost carbon copy of CyberTrader Pro along with CyberXchange routing & execution swiftness, regardless of what has to be changed behind the scenes for the integration. The integration CAN NOT mean performance loss & it can't be implemented weeks before we're told we have to leave. I really need that agreement. If it can't be agreed upon, I need to set up an alternate trading system elsewhere in case the performance loss that I experienced in the past remains.

  3. There may be another "Got ya" in this Integration.

It appears, I hope I'm wrong, that new accounts can't get the 4%+ interest rate on uninvested cash.

I do with my existing Schwab accounts.

It appears the interest rates have been slashed thru the floor.

We are now getting very nice interest on our uninvested cash with Cybertrader.

CyberTrader Rep, will we be getting LESS THAN 1% on all our money below $100k in our accounts after the integration where we are getting over 4% interest now???

WOW! Thanks for pointing that out! If that is the case then Schwab can definately kiss my ass goodbye. I will definately point that out to my traders. That would be about $12,000 dollars a year that I would automatcially be lossing from the drastic rate cut.

To many clergy men in this country!

  5. If you change the time frame (recent stories->settings->general) in the news window, from then on any symbol you type into the "Symbol/Code" box in the news window will give you news for that time frame. However, and this is probably what you're experiencing, if you use the "query for news" menu item from another window or use linked windows to get news on a symbol, the news window is reset to show only the current day's news.

You can create a second news window, give news#2 a long time frame and leave news#1 as the one that gets linked to from other windows and shows only the current day's news.

  7. I want to clear up any misconceptions regarding our per share pricing offer:

CyberTrader’s per share pricing WILL BE transferable for any CyberTrader client at the currently published rate. Schwab will ‘grandfather’ the rates.

Our objective is to make the client experience at Schwab very similar to that of CyberTrader’s. At the time of integration, however we do not expect to support either basket order functionality or allow for API trading. The per-share offer, however, I’m happy to report, will remain.

Keep in mind that CyberTrader’s last day to accept any new account applications will be August 31, 2007. If you’re thinking about opening a new account, the deadline is firm.

  8. CyberTraderRep, could you address the last 2 posts of mine in this thread. Thank You.

  9. Yeah, the issue is how long will per share pricing be available? And what about credit for ECN rebates? IB passes them through.

  10. CyberRep,

I upgraded to ver. 6.20.9 last night and when I logged on this morning, I found I couldn't use the max floor feature. This is the feature that allows you to send an iceberg order, with the total size hidden. Instead of being able to use a default for all orders, now you have to fill in an additional popup box for each order, adding two time-consuming steps to order entry.

I wonder what genius came up with the idea to delete a crucial feature and not bother to warn users? I can't see this as a good omen for the Schwab changeover. If CT is so clueless they gut the effectiveness of their platform without warning users, what can we expect from Schwab?
