FYI, here's the link to the CNN special that'll be airing live tomorrow night: Here's the official news link from the segment's host Roland Martin: http://www.rolandsmartin.com/blog/?p=93

It was downright painful watching Timmay and Savannah try to explain how greed and porn are good for our country. What a trainwreck. Even worse, the rabbi told Timmay to his face that he has no self-cofidence. OUCH!
Step aside, Boesky/Gekko. There's a new High Priest in town to run the MoreMoney Church of Latter Day Greed.
I'm afraid I have to side with the rabbi. In fact, marketsurfer and I had a similar exchange even before the CNN broadcast in question: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1567423&highlight=greed+fear#post1567423 http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1567466&highlight=greed+fear#post1567466
"Even worse, the rabbi told Timmay to his face that he has no self-cofidence. OUCH!" I did not interpret Timmay as lacking in self confidence, Timmmay came across as someone who showed deference and respect to an elder and the Rabbi misinterpreted it as lack of self confidence. I would have to say a ten second soundbite on tv it would be hard to get pumped up and get the words and thoughts flowing knowing your going to be interupted at any moment. A trading persona takes intensity and intensity is something that does not lend itself to current events tv.
I only saw a few minutes of the segment. However, I did not get the impression that the rabbi was referring to his conduct on TV as indicative of a lack of self-confidence. Rather, I think it had more to do with the embracing of the concept of greed. This would be consistent with my views and my earlier exchange with marketsurfer, as noted in my previous post on this page. But, to repeat, I only saw a few moments of the exchange.
