Welcome to the world of fame. Ah, the American way, root for the underdog, you can be and do anything ----then it becomes: see the big man fall. America loves it when those who make it big, fail. Neither here nor there, just the way it is. Good luck.
Timmay be honest-- admit that you now realize Cavuto played you like a puppet and that's why your book was not mentioned on FOX. Admit that you are now sorry you went on that segment and were unable to say a word about the book. Admit you fumbled this prime chance on TV.
I believe I already explained this--the producers came down 5 minutes before and said since the book wasn't available for 3 more months, there was no point in talking about it. He said they really just wanted to see how I'd do and judging by my dinner with producers last week and our future plans for their new network, I believe I did alright. Open your mind buddy, you're fighting a battle that you cannot win because just don't have any of the details.
Rumors are that Ron Howard has signed up to do the movie and that Lilo Brancato from the Sopranos (Matt Bevilaqua character) is alreayd on board to play Tim
Boy, I hope it ends up better for Timmaay than it did for Matt B "Mommmmyyyy!!!!" BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG
I am sure he is still screaming Mommy!!!!!!!!!! Except now he is doing it from Rikers island..... and I am sure there is a lot of banging going on.....
True, has little to do with trading and more to do with branding and 'attention marketing'. If Paris Hilton wanted to write a book she could and it would sell better than this book simply because of the visibility she could get. The more Timmay can keep his name in front of people the more books it will sell. Probably better for the book to be 'very, very bad', and bad to be just 'ok'. If it really stinks it will stay in play longer. ET plays a part as it generates more page views than posts about trading. However, if ET just becomes a place for people to promote themselves, Timmay, Hershey, Surfer, etc. etc. can it continue to find sponsors? Also what is there to differentate ''branders" from one another? Don't they all look and sound like? Paris Hilton, Nocole Richie, Linsay Lohan, same right? Hershey, Timmay, Surfer, sounds the same right? Authoratitive, arrogrant, surprised and disimissive of critics, etc. etc. (Although, Timmay can capitalize and use the spell checker! ) I am not sure 'self promoton' and 'branding' pays well for the long term without some core talent or deliverable. Attention marketing and branding is time intensive and maybe that time would be better spent trading or starting a company. But hey, I could be wrong. Working with big numbers there will always be one or two to beat the odds. Glad to do my part to help keep the post count up. http://blog.fastcompany.com/experts/wmarx/2007/08/careers_the_young_turks_of_per.html?partner=rss
