Eprado is right- publishing a book is that simple. You can self publish a book as long as you put up the money. I know that for a fact. I could write a book right now, but why the hell would I do that? Which also makes me wonder, why the hell is timm(g)ay doing that?
That's cool. I am fueled by ripping him a new one, so I guess that is a symbiotic relationship! Yippe skippee
WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST READ HIS FUCKING POSTS IN THIS AND THE "HEDGE FUND BOOK" THREAD?! People responded to his appearances on television and on this forum...we didn't just decide not to like him you twit. You are dense, this post and the 5 before it kind of prove that.
Oh wow, that guy is like the king of stocksandblogs.com and also the best sandwich maker at the Subway restaurant on Hollywood and Vine...he also writes a good line of bullshit apparently. You're really getting some high level captain's of finance to back you on this one...who's next? You should ask the guy who makes my lattes, he has quite the vocabulary and can probably whip you up a nice little review the way he can make a vanilla latte.
Hmm. That would include my post as well. While I have not seen any of the TV shows and, therefore, cannot comment in this regard, I can comment on your apparently insatiable need to bash this fellow with the very same condemnations over and over again. Methinks thou dost protest too much. If he made ridiculous performance claims, I would share in your outrage. As for mere arrogance, I think you will find no lack of it here at ET, so why focus the might of your heavy and fearsome hammer on a single nail over and over again?
Thanks for the words but I didn't mean the 5 posts literally preceding that one. I meant his 5 previous posts. Cheers and hope that clears up the confusion.
Exactly--we learn from our mistakes and move on. That's all I'm preaching here, but people can't seem to understand a trader wanting to use their losses to help others avoid them! Its a totally foreign concept! Actually, I've only targeted bloggers, fund managers, and a few key journalists so far. The fund managers that have given me blurbs have asked to either remain anonymous (due to those wonderful industry regulations!), or wait until press time to use their names. The journalists won't comment until press time so for better or worse, my reviews are in the hands of the bloggers and that's just the way I like it.
Here's the million dollar question - how many pages will this thread go? I can't believe we are at 55 pages! The ironic part is that for all the haters on this thread, you are keeping the product that you already hate at the forefront of a highly visited website. Seems counter-productive if you don't want to see the book succeed...
Who hates it? I think it's hilarious...the more Tim posts the more of a douche bag I think he is...I find it funny. I love his flip-flopping. I think you're giving this website a bit too much credit really.
