Longhorns you bastard! How did you beat me to the Screech comparison. Never thought of it....I must be losing my touch. Man..these threads are getting crazier each day. I just dont see these threads helping Timmay at all. Yes it's publicity. But man....he is getting absolutely torched. His problem is people are throwing facts at him, and he is dancing around/doing everything not to answer them. This shit is too damn funny.
LOL you are right this is hilarious, i wanna know one other thing TIMMAY, how many other day traders do you think made 1.6 mill off of a 12k deposit at a prop firm??? i can absolutely guarantee there was tons. You wanna tell us the truth about the leverage you used during tht period?? BE 100% HONEST YOU HAVE "NOTHING TO HIDE" was your 12k just a deposit on a day trading prop account?? Can you tell me honestly that there was NO LEVERAGE involved in the 1.6 mill? This may not be true but it definately would not surprise me if he put his 12k down as a deposit somewhere got his leverage and made 1.6 mill on a couple lucky bets.
You missed my point LHorn. EVERY trader, incl all the great ones here, have made mistakes and Tim is at least willing to talk about it (in the book). Why not talk about his trials and tribulations vs. just attacking? I know, no one here has ever had a losing trade and it's more fun to simply attack someone than try to discuss things. One could argue that a few here are envious, jealous and/or infatuated with Tim. I've never seen another thread like this where a few select individuals pore their hearts into a thread for the purpose of trying to bring down a trader. Guys, grow up. I'm all for a lively discussion, but this is just silly and childish. Who cares how big Tim's fund is and with who's money? Who cares how long of a spot on WSW he had? Who cares how long/short his spots on CNBC, etc are? I mean come on, who else on this board that is a poster has their own fund, been featured a trader documentary/show, has been invited to the financial networks for commentary and/or has their own trading book? WHO ELSE HERE HAS DONE THAT? Love him or hate him, you have to realize that those are some great accomplishments at his young age. Has it been a perfect ride? Apparently not, but that's life guys. I doubt anyone here has had a perfect ride to the top while trading. I'd venture to say that a few of the haters here have never turned a dime in profit, let alone the results Tim did achieve. I know that is past tense, but it is an achievement nonetheless. This really has no correlation to Tim really, I just don't understand why there is so much hatred and animosity towards a fellow trader... I understand he's done more than many of us here, but why throw stones? Again, someone from the outside looking in would say that there's some serious inferiority complexes going on here....
heh heh I second that. Or is it third? This guy is a clown. I actually prefer the term buffoon..even thouh it means the same thing. Yea, Timmay, you are a buffoon. FWIW, If I hear anyone ever mention anything good about you in ignorance, I will personally go out of my way to make sure I set the story straight about you and explain that you are a clown. Just doin' my small part.
Take a look at his videos and then you will realize why everyone thinks he is a prick, he even tries to act like he is above his own friends. Brownsfan, i was on your side big time, before i thought it was just people on ET ganging up on him, watch wall street warriors and see if that changes your opinion. This is why everyone wants to talk him down, because he is a pompous douchebag who has not done shit. In terms of people having their own show, i am starting to think that maybe, just maybe, CNBC has a sense of humour, and they were thinking "hey if we throw the biggest piece of shit ever on the show people will watch to see what a loser he is" The other thing is he lies through his teeth to make himself appear bigger, YET AGAIN ANOTHER EXAMPLE, he can put his funds returns on national T.V. (Wallstreet warriors) but not on elite or on his street.com interview.
Brownsfan, That is like giving someone credit for being skillful at winning the lottery. That is not an "accomplishment" it is an experience and a fun ride that has nothing to do with skill.
The big issue is not with his performance. It's his arrogance/prick-like qualities. I would 90 percent of the haters on here would not be saying what they are saying if this guy wasnt an egostistical prick. If he is gonna act like a moron on tv/public, then he has to deal with the criticism. I have stated a few times his performance was excellent yrs ago. But...he was far from the only one who took advantage back in those days. I also think many on here (including myself) think it's kind of a joke to call yourself a "hedge fund" when all you are doing is daytrading a personal account. He doesnt have much (if any) outside money. Kind of hilarious that he calls his book "An American Hedge Fund". He obviously seems to want to be writing a modern day Livermore book. Hence the word stock operator on the cover of his book.
ezkuze moi, you did pretty "damn well-ding-ding-ding making less than 1.5% in a whole 4yrs? at least be honest and admit your performance sucks: some will still respect you for what you made during the bubble, nobody will if you lie or talk bs.
EXACTLY, there is another point too, he compares his book to reminiscience, where livermore turns 0 1920 DOLLARS into a couple million, the ego on this guy is absolutely amazing. Him and our resident PTJ should get together and cirlce jerk each others daytrading returns.......... i suspect PTJ may have to EXPEND MORE ENERGY into that equation.
