  1. Ok.

Will you admit that you much prefer to run the title "sykes appears in financial times" on the homepage of ET than this thread title "will you buy timmay's book?", which shows you in an unfavorable manner.

Are you trying to polish your tarnished image with snake oil tactics?

  2. He never does mention the effects of his losses on those who TRUSTED him with their money. Instead he defends his actions or better yet, says it is a good lesson.......for who? Your investors.

Hedge fund is off it's highs...nice spin.

    Quote should read:

"Fund devestated by losses as Timmay works his image for the betterment of mankind"

You gonna push book profits to the losing investors who "TRUSTED" you to manage their money, or is this ALL ABOUT YOU?

You are a Piece of Shit.

But I'm not a "hater". Trust me.

  5. Since you've read my book, you know the losses have devastated me and my fund. But I'm not going to curl up in a little ball like you and Traitor Monthly believe to be appropriate. No, these losses will serve a purpose. By detailing them, I will save thousands, maybe more form the same suffering, and that is my goal here.

  8. slacker

    slacker

Also, not going so well is the sales of 2 to 3 books a day.

If he sent out 150-200 pre-release books, he may not be near breakeven yet.

Most self-published books never sell more than 300-500 copies.

Did he really turn down a $37k publishing deal? I doubt it, but if he did it looks like another 'bad trade'.

May be too early to tell, but it hardly looks like a 'breakout' here.

  9. Again you focus this on yourself and avoid the topic of those who TRUSTED you with their money.

"I" do not believe you should curl up in a ball after losses, but I think you have no grounds for a book, no grounds for this inflated ego, poor moral character in regrads to your investors, and are completely shameless in self-promotion.

I cannot speak for TM, but maybe they got it right as well?

What about the investors? You can't answer because THIS IS ALL ABOUT YOU.

How convenient is it to claim you wish to HELP others through your mistakes when YOU ARE NOT HELPING THOSE WHO ARE INVESTED WITH YOU NOW!!!!!

Piece of Shit. But I'm not a "hater", just an HONEST" critique

  10. 1. It was a $35k advance offer from Wiley. Call em up and ask them if you want.

    2. My book's official release is October 1, 2007. This has been a soft launch just to make sure all the shipping is flowing smoothly when the press hits in October.

    3. Currently, I'm averaging about 10 books/day and thats without any major reviews.....yet

    4. The beauty of selling exclusively online is that it's on sale forever. We're not even in the first inning yet, stay tuned.
