Notice I didn't ask Amazon to delete all the negative reviews, only the ones that had inaccuracies. Once you understand what I'm trying to accomplish here, you'll change your tone.
So "selective censorship" is ok? Deletion of some of the negative reviews is worse than removing all of them a$$hole. You my friend, are a fraud. surdo
Hey Timmay! Looks like you got a mention in this month's Trader Monthly magazine. You are mentioned on page 79 in the intro to the "30 under 30" article. To quote TM, "You won't see Cilantro's humility-challenged Tim Sykes, who in the past year has gone from wunderkind to Ryan Leaf-like laughing-stock." Sounds like they are jabbing below the belt for some reason, but hey - Any press is good press as long as they spell your name correctly.
WTF Pinocchio?? Over half of the 5 star reviews contain NO specific reference to your book and they are only 2 sentences of "ra-ra", yet they can stay. But the bad ratings, all of which I read, had inaccuracies?? Bullshik! Name a single inaccuracy by a negative reviewer Pinocchio.
Man...I just checked out amazon. A friggin war going on over there. I wonder if at some point Amazon will get fed up with all the bs going on over there and just pull the book from their site. It's kinda comical as Tim is having bad reviews pulled, claiming that those people didnt read his book...but leaves all the 5 star ones in which people say "GREAT BOOK" and have nothing really else to add. Talk about selective censorship. In the end all his whining and screaming in attempts to attack his detractors really makes him look kinda bad on there. If I was him I would sit back and let the book speak for itself...you dont see top writers/movie directors going out of their way to defend their work. If the book is that good it will sell no matter what. I guess he is frustrated at the lack of early sales.
Agreed. I find it amazing that over 1/2 of the 5 star reviews are simply "great book" and "great read" without any specifics and by readers who are GIVING THEIR FIRST REVIEW!! Smells really bad. I see one reviewer, who has made prior reviews on amazon, got very mad when his review was deleted. And rightfully so! Can you imagine a long standing amazon customer being censored off of the board because he gave an opinion? Tim, Traders Monthly is correct, you have become Ryan Leaf. You should be ashamed.
I think Tim's expectations were way way too high, and now he is kinda freaking out because the book isnt selling that well. Explains things. I am curious if he plans on getting a copy of his book to a well respected paper like The NY Times.
Haha, I have no problem with negative reviews, just so long as they follow Amazon guidelines. Amazon doesn't have to delete any review they don't want to. And nearly all the positive reviews are from people who read the advance copies--I won't be ashamed for telling them my book is now available on Amazon and asking them to share their thoughts. Guys, you seriously might want to give up now, the press hasn't even begun yet...
You have no problem with negative reviews? It was YOU who complained about them to amazon Pinocchio. All of the positive reviews are from people who read the advanced copy? Or were simply given a copy! They then write a very general positive review, with no specifics whatsoever (because they never read the book!). And it's funny how all of these "reviewers" have NEVER given any other reviews on amazon. The press hasn't even begun yet? Yes it has, Traders Monthly calls you "Ryan leaf". And no one else cares. Don't believe me, look at your rank on the amazon.com sales rank (updated hourly). Game over.
