Ever wonder why some people fall for obvious scams? And others can clearly see the scam?

    Me too.

Sometimes, unfortunately, people just have to experience pain before they can believe the obvious.

This wouldn't be the first time in history that an obviously horrible leader somehow convinced a country that he was "great."

  2. What's the surprise? He's going to use the courts to cheat? Unless the polls have gotten a lot more unreliable than they were in 2016 he's going to lose a fair election. The margins are bigger and there's way less undecided voters this time.

  4. The Vote is 11-5 so far in favor of Trump. How interesting. I thought the leftists ran this political section?

Maybe they voted for Trump also. Or perhaps, they are afraid to vote.

Some of the polls are very slanted. If you use the previous presidential election as your turnout model the race is very close nationally. The turnout could be so different from the last election...however, It's possible the polls are useless this year. Lots of new Republicans have registered but there is also a lot of hate and covid. Polls probably mean nothing this year.

  6. Agreed, some of the polls are slanted. The turnout will most likely be a lot higher this time around.

I did read somewhere that a lot of new Republicans are registering and it is at a higher rate than the Democrats. And yes, there is a lot of hate for Trump from the left and Covid will play a role.

The polls will likely be off, but by how much is to be determined.

He's lost. This forum isn't representative of much really. Watch after Biden wins how butt hurt some of these people are going to be after their hero gets turfed from office.

Seems particularly true in the US not sure why. Covid killed off 235,000 and 3,000,000 active cases and there are still people minimizing or denying it. Most absurd claim is that under the Democrats it would be much worse; that's like saying Americans are the least capable people on earth. I have to think that there are a lot of silent people who have been touched in some way by Covid and they can't want to turf Trump. Especially women with a family orientation, and minorities that have been openly insulted by Trump for 5 years.

It used to be that stupid people were shamed by the smart people around them. And as a result, stupid strived to become smart ... or at least, less stupid.

Now, with the interweb, stupid people feel emboldened by their interweb comrades. They embrace their stupidity...together. No longer is there a desire to 'be best' among the stupid.

I've said it a million times: the educational system in the U.S. is flawed. And once the level of stupidity reaches a 'critical mass,' we're fucked. I'm not sure what that level is ... or whether we've reached it already.

    Well played Putin.

Polling the Politics forum of Elitetrader.com is not even close to an accurate poll. :D

Lets just hope scientists don't use polls at Elitetrader.com about the effectiveness of an FDA approved vaccination if/when such becomes available.

Personally, the four biggest groups I watch in any poll:
    • Senior Citizens
    • Military (active, reserves, national guard, veterans)
    • Suburban Women
    • Minorities
Lacking are polls of Americans Citizens living abroad (ACA) in other countries. Polls involving Americans like that would be interesting to me. If someone knows of any polls like that...chime in with a direct link.

I've sent this organization an email recently about any Absentee Polls @ https://www.overseasvotefoundation.org/vote/home.htm but haven't heard back from them just yet.

Only websites I've found involved Absentee Vote was by an U.S. citizen that's studying abroad for her PhD...she has the largest states in Absentee Vote were Florida, Wisconsin and North Carolina which I don't believe considering other states have a much larger American military presence abroad for Absentee Voters.
    • I do agree about North Carolina but thought Kentucky, Georgia, Washington and Texas should be in the top 5 list because of their large military presence.
Yet, of the +100 American citizens I personally know plus the military / veterans that I know that are living abroad (many from the above states)...they needed to be encourage to vote which is what I did via phone calls and emails...

Contact their states and request an Absentee Ballot and then send it right back.
    • Everyone of them have now voted. :D
About 15% said they've voted for Trump and 85% stated they voted for Biden.
