I think he remains a fantastic player but won't be at the peak condition he was before. He's just aging, that's a reality for everyone.
Birdie, birdie, par on the first 3 holes of round three of the PGA Championship. 4 back. He's lookin tough. Go Tiger!
Wow! 5 birdies through 8 holes. 2 back. He even birdied #6, which they say is the hardest hole this week. Missed a short one for par. So 1 bogie. If he can that driver working.... ....everything else is the old Tiger. Go Tiger!!
An absolutely incredible performance. Second place. 14 under. He smoked dozens of golf's finest this week and it was his BEST EVER 4rth round in a major. And he wrapped it up as only Tiger can do... holing an amazing 25 foot birdie at 18. The crowd's roar had to be heard for miles. Pure Tiger. The competition is tougher than ever, but after 4 back surgeries, two eye surgeries, several years of (made for the tabloids) personal adversities... at the ripe old age of 42... he is far from finished. A true champion. Go Tiger!
I wouldn't have thought it possible a few months ago, but his consistency has me believing that he is in fact back and fully capable of winning more tournaments. The guy is a phenom, best who has ever played the game. Had he not sabotaged his own career he would have 20+ majors and well over a hundred total victories. Hell, he may still do that.
It's only a matter of time now, the way he drove it this week was the best I had seen since the comeback. Not sure if he will pass Jack, but I think he will win a couple more majors before it's over.
