I talked about my feelings towards the iPad here: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=189310&highlight=iPad
I understand exactly what you are saying. One of the most endearing parts of "Forrest Gump" is when he keeps his promise to "Bubba" to become a shrimp boat captain. One scene, Lt. Dane jumps off the boat and starts a backstroke in the middle of the Gulf. Or in Shawshank, when Andy Dufrane finally escapes from prison out the end of the sewer drain and falls into the river, elevating his arms into the falling rain. And then at the end, when Red is seen walking on the beach towards Andy working on his boat... It was medicinal just watching it. During the summer, I go to the beach (lake) in the northern Chicago suburbs (wilmette & winnetka) and take long walks with my pooch. The sound of the waves, the stillness, has a deep effect on me. On particularly hot days, I love going outside and walking in torrential rain in my shorts and sandals when no one else dreams of being outside (the first time I took my dog into that he was like, wtf? But now he loves it too). Not quite what we are talking about, but there is something about water and connecting with nature, with stillness. I know non of this compares to actually being in a boat in the middle of the ocean sailing, but it is as close as I am able to get right now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlAbdpZSna4
No. When I like a girl, being myself is seductive enough, or it isn't. I do not desire or seek power.
first you get the money. then you get the power. then you get the woman. -tony montana http://mystuffspace.com/graphic/tony-montana-3.jpg a tub like this don't hurt neither
Anyone looked into ereaders? I want to get one but I can't tell if I'd actually make use of it (I mean besides being a paper weight...). Just something about have a real book in your hands.
I have not read this book, but I thought many here would probably enjoy it. So it is more a heads up: "Repeat Until Rich: A Professional Card Counter's Chronicle of the Blackjack Wars (Hardcover)" http://www.amazon.com/Repeat-Until-...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1270748059&sr=8-1
