  2. Without doubt in the future we will have a bear market.

    The problem is that nobody know when. It might be in 1, 5, 10, 20 years.

    Take the chinese stock market, it is almost 100% probabilities of crashing. But the answer is when. Remember markets mar remain oversold/overbought longer than you could remain solvent.
     
  3. what about the possibility that it doesn't crash? just as likely. imagine the shanghai market remaining rangebound for the next 5 years amidst continuing chinese growth. suddenly those companies will be properly valued.

    the chinese govt wants to curb excess speculation, but on the other side of the coin, does not want a crash to occur. the last thing they need is popular dissent.
