And, not as you might think.

Consider this. If the Supreme Court strikes down ObamaCare it will deny the GOP a major campaign issue and allow Obama an opportunity to rally his base so the Dems can rewrite the law.

On the other hand, if the Court upholds all provisions of ObamaCare it will give the GOP an issue that will anger most of the country and give them an advantage in getting out the vote to repeal ObamaCare.

It's another case of be careful what you wish for.

  2. ?? If the Dems rewrote the law, how might it pass the Senate? They don't have 60 votes now... not to mention they are in the minority in the House.

  3. So will Romney being the nominee

I'm not trying to make a point of HOW they would be able to rewrite the law as I'm pointing out that if ObamaCare were tossed out that they could use it as an issue to rally their base and those supporting ObamaCare to turn out and vote Democrat.

I wouldn't get my hopes up about the Supreme Court ruling. Two of the sitting members are Obama appointees. And in the past 50 years the Supreme Court has rarely made any serious attempt to check the growth of federal power. Certainly the 10th Amendment has been a dead letter for as long as I've been alive.
