  1. Don't bother with bozente. He's a maggot of maggots. A parasite of parasites. The only thing bozente can do is run his cyber account C2 into the ground.
Yes, he plays with a cyber account, and still loses. He took $100K down to $4K in only 4 weeks! Nuf said.

Those were your exact words and the market did just that.
I was simply pointing out that the market did rally over 25% in the time frame you mentioned when you said it had not. So we rallied 25+ % off the low and then fell 15% from that high. What do you want a 20% straight run without a pullback ?

    From investopedia.com:

    What Does Rally Mean?
A period of sustained increases in the prices of stocks, bonds or indexes.

The period of time you referred to had both up and down movements, i.e. it was not a sustained increase. Following your logic one could say that the market has rallied since 1933 to summer of 2008 but even you must realize that would sound ridiculous.

A straight run would be a rally. This was not a straight run.

Either way, once again (and for the last time) I have nothing to prove - I am not making predictions one way or the other. I'm just saying that listening to yahoos on yahoo is useless. They have a 50/50 chance of being right. And when they are right (which these days is when they talk about a crash) it's touted as if they are clairvoyant. And when they are wrong they prefer to move on and not mention it again.

  5. if +25% in 1 month in the major index is not a rally, than i don't know what a rally is.

  6. That's only if you were in at the exact lows. Otherwise, hindsight is 20/20.

Well according to azzy, you have to go up everyday straight up 25% for it to be a called a rally.

    Define period.

If you take the period from nov 21 to jan 6 then in that period we had a 25% rally that consisted of higher lows and higher highs.

According to your thinking then the market never rallies because history shows that we have not had a parabolic upmove without some type of retracement during it.

blowshan, if you get lucky they might give you 730 if 800 finally fails but that is a big if amigo. Otherwise 1000 is gonna pluck the rubberbird's feathers sometime this year.

  10. We need to see a headfake one way, before we get the directional move the other way.
