    Here's what I find for today's volume on Nasdaq:

    finance.yahoo.com -->1,564,802,000
    marketwatch.com -->1,524,209,355
    bigcharts.com -->1,524,089,723

    What is the real volume?!?! What is the official source of that info?!?

    [ok this may seem a bit anal but I just don't understand why there must be any difference!]

  2. www.nasdaq.com should have the correct info,

    it has the volume at 1,567,250,000

    where on nasdaq.com? I've looked but can't find it? TIA

  4. wait, the volume just changed, looks like they are counting the after hours trades, so you'll have to find another source

  5. The volume is on the top of the chart on the front page. Took me some time to find it too.

    Which brings us back to square one. Where is the real volume just normal trading hours) for Nasdaq and NYSE?

  7. Good question... looks like it depends on who you are asking...

    ok, another try ... :)

    Anyone know where to get the official number for end of day volume (as well as up/down volume) for Nasdaq and NYSE?

    Thanks in advance.
