  1. I would say that for now the market more or less has ignored the dangers of the Pig Flu.

    I am guessing this may change if there are casualties in US.

    I am curious how many casualties it will take to get the market pay attention. What other developments on the Flu front may force the market down significantly?

    Those CDC quotes on how many people die of flu every year have been challenged. Some think they are way overblown. Typically, they are deaths of the very old and the very young [mostly the very old] but this current flu strain kills more people that are in their healthiest years and the death rate among those people is extraordinarily high.

    If the treatments are working, and it does not involve being put on a respirator, then we have little to worry about though... panic early, panic often, that's my motto when it comes to preventable stuff....
