Oh, that's too much! 4 hrs a day, 4 days a week is more than enough. We need some free time, don't we?
ARCA already trades 04:00-20:00 ET. 04:00-07:00 is particularly illiquid - they haven't managed to grab the European business they had hoped. I expect that session will get dropped again. I'd like a shorter trading day. 08:00-09:30, 09:30-16:00, 16:00-18:00 for starters. Most of the rest of the time is spent cruising ET, watching TV, falling asleep at the switch, etc.
I do 9:45 - 11:30 then 2:00 - 3:50 In between lunch time I usually eat lunch and play some instruments or make some music. Keeps me relaxed and I feel fresh again for the close. But on the Tokyo exchange, when they have different sessions, does that mean no one trades during the breaks? I guess when I hit 21 I'll have to open up an IB account and check it out if the commissions will allow for scalping... hopefully....
