Yes, I was thinking of the black guy but my brain was having a moment or two. Kid Rock should be punched, not slapped.
My mom could not stand Chris Rock as an actor in his early days (Lethal Weapon 4..). The hyper-screechy loud thing he did made us all squirm as it seemed too playing to a stereotype. That said, his joke that bullets should cost five thousand dollars was genius, she laughed at that. Black people on TV in say the UK sound just like everyone else. Slavery etc legacy in the US I guess it was still expected on film.
Yeah, he's a funny guy, but I really don't like hyperactive sidekicks in movies, whoever they may be; be it Chris Rock or Joe Pesci. Otherwise, I like both of them. The $5k per bullet idea was inspired.
Poor little Joe, I know an Italian girl who wanted to kill him. That's said everything paled in comparison with American actors trying to do Irish accents and the phrases we never actually use, back in the day. Tom Cruise in Far and Away... Shudder. Smith had Jazzy Jeff but.. The always being thrown out the door thing was classic.
