will NQ spread drop to ES spread level?

    No, I don't like that equities are now traded in decimals. That is one of the reasons I switched over to futures. As far as making sure a limit order is filled, I don't see the problem there. With the volume traded on the ES/NQ I don't see why you would have a problem getting filled at any price. I might be wrong about this, but it seems if they lower the tick size it would affect volatility. So if the spread was say 0.01 tick then it would not move near as nice as it does now and it would become a chopfest.

    Point taken on your trading company.

    Anyway, I don't see the CME doing this type of thing anyway. Just a hypothetical discussion.
