    about 3 to 4 decades.
In olden days, we plotted the chart manually on graph paper.
and if you want to add moving average of say 10 days, that would be tons of calculation using calculator.

For those who have traded very long, they don't know where price is heading.

For those who have traded for few weeks, they probably think they know where price is heading.

By your double post of the fed company inc cat in charge, it is clear that you need to make the point that the market may well go to 100,000 and beyond just as likely as to lower.
A third grader can grasp that. lol

If an exclusive monopoly were available for an item, money would be a good choice, no? instantiate that shit up! rock and roll!, lol.

    as for trading...
That's a 5 minute chart. in use by a day trader. who shares in common with maxinger the fact that we don't care about a bias re the long term trajectory of the market.

this day trader is out of the market when not trading the market directly, so where she goes then is not a trading revenue issue.

So regardless of the downstream fate of the markets, that trade shows downward harvest of $3300 too-day, not next week, that ain't too shabby for a morning's work.

Which is why there is great interest by this trader in sharpening the saw, in maintaining and upgrading the trading skills on a continual basis.
Any other traders who are of like mind on that point might be interested in the second attempt at such a thread.
a Take Two as it were...

What the fed company incorportatd does is above my pay grade, i ain't got no time for that.
