Started well initially , but eventually got into elevated mode..should have stayed calm..let the price break properly ..then would have traded....was positive..but turned negative... Going back to take a quick nap..
Looks like you was playing in a dead market time with no trend to really take advantage of. Ofcourse that's easy to see and say after the event, before obviously you expected those up swings to continue up. So sadly, loses are part of the game, don't let a few distract you and continue on. GA Long here, to take profit or not, hmmmmmm!!
30s bars? rly? you have to widen your periods on euro unless that's in the middle of NFP / FOMC / ECB.
Ahhh 30second chart, that's rare to see anything below 1Min, better for momentum picks, but EU is better for small scalpy range plays most of the time. If you want more follow through on breakouts then way better off trading GBPAUD, I know it's more on the spread, but it moves enough to make up for it.
well i wouldn't touch 30s durations to begin with, but at least if you have that during a highly volatile event + larger period framework to look for terminations on the lower period, then it'd be OK. but during low vol periods... not a chance.
Hey Note, had a totally awesome day today, no I mean AWEFUL that's it, go read my journal HUGE Losses, got carried away with a EU short, it turned I hoped, dug in, all in my journal. Even old Pro's like me, have BAD Days, don't let them worry you, or affect your future trading, I find I generally only learn from my BAD days as I'm too busy high 5ing myself on profitable days Trading stressed and tired, don't do it
This journal was started exactly three years ago today. What happened to all these knowledgeable posters? Its a good thread. Worth the read.
You Said In Your Own Words I Was Thinking. That's Why You Lost, You Were Pretty Much Guessing, Not A Good Trade Plan Friend, You Will Never Make Money Thinking, Hell They Have Programs That Go against What The average Person is thinking, you need setups, stop trading now, find it, until you do don't trade. most wont win at this game, but you know you can do it inside yourself, so stop trading now based on thinking, it wont work.
two years ago - dec 2014. WrbTrader: used to claim to be a big winner. has since then became serious ill. had some trips to the hospital where he realized the importance of good health. Some ET posters were questionning his trading over the last few months. Not on his private yacht. Redneck : no posts. A real loss as very good advice offered. Claimed to be a big winner. Someone on ET was accusing him and some other posters Jas_ etc of running some kind of dump and pump schemes and thus of running a group fo people looking on ET for the suckers. May be on his private yacht with his group (?). I seriously doubt the nefarious accusations made against RedNeck. More likely, Redneck is a very prudent on whom he lets around himself. NoDoji : was a big advocate for Al Brooks. Claimed to be a big winner. Many ET vouched for her, so I assume she was a big winner. No recent posts. May be on her private yacht. ExperiencedJoe: believed psychology had no effects on trading. Was chasing the holy grail trading strategy. Has now stopped posting. As he claimed he was losing, but explained he did not want to do any psychology, may be on a full time job, or retired, or on holidays? Note: the thread starter. Found some holy grail trading strategy. Followed it. As far as i could see, it did not work out. Not on his own private yacht paid for via trading. Turvey: still ploughing on technically. Has not yet moved to sorting the psychology.
