I hope he says the same things in another interview just to piss off the liberal asshole loving assholes (gays) again. Free speech should not be censored in this country. Obama would love that though wouldn't he? I'm surprised he hasn't gotten his dumb ass into the middle of all this.
You are a typical right wing moron, his free speech has not been censored. He lost no rights to speak and it's not a radical idea for a Christian to think homosexuality is a sin and is in the same category with bestiality. This kind of ignorance and delusion is common among them and is to be expected. But when such ignorance and bigotry rears it's head, it's proper for the more educated, tolerant and non-bigoted people in the country to smack it back down into the pit of excrement from which it comes.
You are a typical leftist commie who wishes he could suck off Obama when he visits the homo gyms in Chicago and you think everyone should think like you. You don't have to be a Christian to know putting your dick in another mans ass is a perversion of death that has brought on the death of millions of which a lot are innocent. But you can't see that because you probably like it yourself. You and your perverted kind need to be wiped off the face of the Earth before you destroy it with your AIDS and untreatable syphilis that you are now spreading around the world. Oh, that's right. You ARE all dying of AIDS and syphilis. Good luck with your disease. Do your best to keep it to yourself would you? BTW, homo is worse than bestiality. It kills innocent people all around the world. You people should be having sex with a goat instead of bringing your disease home to your wives and killing them along with yourself. It's the same as murder.
Wow, you're not only an ignorant moron, you're insane also. How does one become so mentally fucked-up? Church? Fox News? Living in the South? Low oxygen at birth? All of the above? He lost no rights to speak and it's not a radical idea for a Christian to think homosexuality is a sin and is in the same category with bestiality. This kind of ignorance and delusion is common among them and is to be expected. But when such ignorance and bigotry rears it's head, it's proper for the more educated, tolerant and non-bigoted people in the country to smack it back down into the pit of excrement from which it comes.
Did he get arrested? No. Was he allowed to say what he wanted without being thrown in a jail cell? Yes. I just don't see how his free speech was violated. A&E has sponsors who pay the bill, Duck Dynasty might bring in the ratings but A&E have to answer to their sponsors. You can't be working at Mcd's or Macy's or The Post Office and expect to be able to speak your mind like that without the chance of being let go. TV/media is his workplace, the guy is an adult and he should have known better period. If they fired him for speaking his mind the way he did, then so be it. I'm not saying he is right or wrong, but this is not a violation of his free speech IMO. Next time you get stopped by a cop, tell him to go F**k himself and see what happens...hahaha
This just keeps getting better. Apparently Cracker Barrel dropped Duck merchandise, but had to swiftly reverse course when they faced a potential boycott. Just guessing their customer base skews a bit more to the Robertson clan than to gay rights activsts. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2528043/Duck-Dynasty-family-seen-today.html We are getting an obvious battle of the press leaks now. The above article seemed to be from the Robertsons. This one, in the LA Times, seems to be from the network. http://www.latimes.com/entertainmen...o-much-20131220,0,7276941.story#axzz2oJjUitKx You have to love the concluding paragraphs from the LA Times article though. After noting that A&E has $400mill a year in DD mechandise licensing and that the Robertsons make $200k an episode, they note: "So, his appearance notwithstanding, no one should assume that Phil Robertson doesn't know corporate. He just moseyed straight to the business-affairs department and ignored the boring PR part. And now A&E is learning what it means when your business partner does that." The traumas of network execs worried about offending the gay lobby or retailers worried about boycotts from the Duckies is an amusing side show, but we are left with the central question: Is quoting the Bible now officially hate speech in PC America?
Oh oh, Phil better watch out for those ducks. As many as 19% of mallard pairs in a given population have been observed to consist of male-male homosexuals.
The UK's Daily Mail is eating this story up. I am convinced the Robertson's PR people are feeding them these articles. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ew-public-suspending-homophobic-comments.html This one makes a very pertinent point: A source close to the family, who asked not to be named, told MailOnline: âYou have to ask yourself, why this interview happened and why it ever became public. Someone from A&E was there and was aware of the kind of answers Phil was giving. âBut despite that, they didnât ever try to stop it or control it. Instead, they let it hit the headlines and then released a statement condemning it. âIt is our belief that they knew what was going to happen and then used the situation to exercise control over Phil. âIt is our understanding that when the TV executives came up with the concept for the show they wanted it to be a case of people laughing at a bunch of backward rednecks. âBut when it didnât turn out like that and people actually started identifying with the way the family behaved and were laughing with them, not at them, they became uncomfortable. It did not sit will with the New York TV types. We believe they were also uncomfortable with the familyâs insistence that there would be a strong religious presence in the show. They knew Phil was the driving force behind this and we think they have used this situation to bring him in line so they could steer the show back down the path they originally intended for it. âBut they may have underestimated how united the family are and how committed they are to their beliefs. They also didnât realize how much support Phil would get from the public, so things have backfired on them.â Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ending-homophobic-comments.html#ixzz2oJyz912h Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook
We're well on our way to a place in America where yes, it will be considered hate to quote the Bible. God is and always be in control. I will say, however, I'd believe He's EXTREMELY angry at this point. I certainly wouldn't look for America to receive any favor any time soon...
